May, 2005

We are in full gear at Herbs & Lace - the garden is being overhauled, we put in a pond, and planting season is now here. Although the frost-free date of May 15th is not quite here, we do have a few vegetables in the ground - radishes, brocolli, lettuce and spinach. Our muscles are sore, but we are pleased with how the garden is coming along. We hope you will come and visit. We will be glad to wander the garden with you and answer questions about herbs and gardening in general.

We are not offerring a schedule of classes until the fall but will gladly set up a special class for your group - just call us to get more details.

The big event we are working towards is the June 11th Victorian Garden Party fund raiser for Greene County Council on Aging. The tickets will be $25 and there will be traditional English foods such as scones and trifle, some make-and-take crafts, Garden tours, and classical music provided by two young flutists. We will be sending a formal invitation to everyone on our mailing list or call us for more information.

We are usually in the garden unless weather does not permit. Pop in and visit! Happy Gardening.

Herbally Yours,

Lisa and Sharon.
